In February 17, 2024, Geely Talent Development Group and Malaysia’s Universiti Tunku Abdul Rahman (UTAR) held an agreement signing ceremony on the establishment of the UTAR Xinwei Institute, heralding in-depth cooperation between the two universities

The UTAR Xinwei Institute is established on shared educational philosophies between Geely Talent Development Group and UTAR and aims to provide distinctive specialized programs and courses for students from China, Malaysia, and around the world. It also will provide high-quality pathways for undergraduate, master’s, and doctoral studies. As the first pilot institute under Geely Education’s “Three-Campus Construction Plan” in Southeast Asia, the Institute will explore the development of cross-regional, cross-border, and parallel campuses. Additionally, the Xinwei Institute will serve as a gateway for students to study at UTAR, offering comprehensive support including overseas study guidance, course registation, daily life assistance., tailored exchange program, study tourand other educational services. The Institute will build bridges for students to access to global opportunities.
